There are many exciting things happening in my world!  I will post information and news about the latest developments here.

Certification Renewal Time

I work with many professionals in the Human Resources field.  We all know that the field is constantly changing, with new challenges all the time.  That is why it is important to maintain professional certifications, which assures that one is continuing their education and formation.  To maintain a certification, one must complete a number of tasks over a 3 year period, in different areas of learning and growing.  For the Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) certification, some of that learning must be in areas of leading and growing business.  I am proud to announce that I have earned my recertifications as an SPHR, and  as a SHRM-SCP (Senior Certified Professional), and will continue to learn and grow until my next recertification deadlines in 2022!

Proud to be Awarded the Premiere Certificate for Workplace Investigators!

Workplace investigation is a special skill that not all attorneys or human resource professionals excel at.  It takes experience, as well as certain skills.  To develop those skills, special training is available.  I was proud to attend the Association of Workplace Investigators' Institute in November of 2019.  I spent a week with some of the best investigators in the country (and other countries as well) honing my craft with information and practical skills.  The week ended with a grueling knowledge and skills test, and I was happy to learn that I passed!  This earns me a Certificate, and the right to identify myself as AWI-CH, and AWI Certificate Holder.  This is the gold standard in workplace investigator training.  I am an active AWI member and continue to learn from the best in the business. I am also a member of the AWI National Correspondents Team, reporting on weekly developments in the world of workplace investigations, which hones my knowledge and skill!

Proud to be Selected Winner of the 2017-2018 Best Article, Idaho State Bar Magazine, the Advocate!

Each year, the Advocate, the Idaho State Bar Magazine, publishes dozens of articles on various aspects of legal issues, from Idaho authors as well as non-Idaho authors.  Last year, my friend and colleague Mary Barros Bailey and I co-wrote an article for the Advocate based on some research and speaking we had been doing.  It is titled "Weaving Together Expert Testimony in Employment Cases."  I am proud to announce that our article was selected "Best Article" of the year!  Our notification of the award included these comments:  " This is a big deal because we get many high quality articles.  But yours was a clear step above the rest. The board selected your article based on its practical relevance, clarity, timeliness and original thought. Well done."  We accepted the award at a luncheon at the ISB Annual Meeting.  You can read the article for yourself by clicking on the PDF to the left.

Proud to Be a TEDX Speaker!

On May 5, 2018, I was proud to be selected to speak at the TEDXBoise event, along with twelve other amazing speakers.  My topic, of course:  How to Be a #MeToo Leader. You can access the YouTube of this presentation here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cE8PMbdUhwk&index=12&list=PLsRNoUx8w3rPpLldnQTJsIaB7j1w4mwlG.

I was excited to share with everyone my idea of how we can reach out to the hidden elbow within our organizations and help them tell their stories, so that we can resolve disrespect and harassment in the workplace once and for all.

I also posted an article about what I learned from being a TEDx speaker, and you can access that here:  https://www.bobbikdominick.org/blog/the-top-ten-things-i-learned-while-preparing-and-delivering-a-tedx-talk
